Interview Strategy

Why do you need an interview strategy? Well a strategy is a carefully devised plan of action to achieve a goal. We know your goal of course is to give a great interview, and get that job offer. However most candidates stop there. They will simply do their best. But is it possible to achieve your best without a plan to do so? What does doing your best actually mean? Hit and hope? Hit and miss? What if you had a strategy to put you on track towards your best performance?

If you’ve read the rest of this site (and you should) you’ll know I’m a huge believer in the value of interview preparation . If you don’t have aims and a plan you cant prepare; if you cant prepare you cant deliver.

The best, most successful candidates tick as many of the interviewers boxes as possible. They identify the core requirements of the interviewer and find a way to show that they are the candidate to meet them. The best way to do this is to have an interview strategy to do so. You can start preparing that strategy right now. Here’s how…………………

What you need to achieve & how

Learn about the core purpose of interview questions. What do they really want from you?

Identify what matters to the employer and get ready to give it to them . Do your research, gather job interview information , and learn how to answer interview questions.

Prepare to present. Learn how to present yourself for interview success. Create a great first impression with the right job interview attire and effective body language.
